That isn't very helpful as legal analysis goes, and it isn't very helpful for pastors trying to figure out their congregations, either, so I for one, am very glad for this conversation.<br /><br />I know that there are many important factors here, but I think mission must be at the heart of the matter. I was once speaking to a man who knows more than I do, about the numerical decline in the denomination of which he and I are a part, and he said he wasn't much concerned, because eventually we would become a remnant community, and remnant communities know why they exist.
